Like Edy Simon pointed out the Samples in the SDK are your best starting place. I'll just complement Edy's answer by saying that for one item (like in your case) it's ok to add it programmatically. But if you plan to add many items, you should consider using Xml. See the WorkingWithXml sample for a starting point.
