Re: SBO Tables NOT exposed in DI API

Hi Rajesh,

SAP knows by at least two reasons (I'm suspecting one more, but... out of topic):

  • You want to certify the addon,
  • The database has to go to maintenance at SAP.

Answer is clearly (AFAIK). You issue these commands, you loose the warranty: so have to balance the warranty, the job to be done and local factors like if your Customer is one of the Fortune 500, not sure that SAP will be so strict, but I can be mistaken.

For the second point, their was a thread with the same question this week on which I answered, by referencing a thread from last year which explicitly says what is allowed and what is not.

My advices are simple on this one:

  • Crosses the line only if you cannot do differently and documents where and why,
  • If you want to have stored procedure, use the "EXTENS" mechanism I explained to you in a separate thread, by doing it, you'll be sure to be Inside of the path (except for the previous point).

An extra point, never thing that this is easy: an invoice (just an example) is something like 80+ tables updated, if you miss one...

Regards,

Eric
